The Journal 090608by Dr. Robert PaceIn our worship, people were weeping and bowing under the heavy presence of the Lord. Tonight's teaching was about the glory that comes through impartation. In the book of Numbers, Moses had become so weary in dealing with the people's needs, he asked for God's help. His instruction was to gather seventy Israelite elders outside the camp so that the spiritual anointing that rested upon Moses would be transferred to them. When the Holy Spirit began to be poured upon the chosen elders, they began to prophesy. Two of the seventy had remained in the city and failed to attend the assembly. However, they also received the Spirit and began to prophesy. When the incident was reported to Moses by his assistant, Joshua, the young leader demanded that they cease. But Moses replied, "Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all of the Lord's people were prophets and His Spirit would be placed on all of them (Numbers 11:29)! Thank God, we are watching this come to pass (Acts 2)! Our fellowship was rich. The altar area was again filled with hungry people coming forward to feel the presence of the Lord. It just seems that we have reached an elevated level of anointing. The river is not only flowing, it is steadily rising!
