Saturday Night Presence JournalAugust 23, 2008The atmosphere was charged! As the service began, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to have a special prayer for those who were heavily burdened and felt as though they were pressing against something so solid, they could not get through. As they came forward for prayer, the Holy Spirit began to minister to their needs. In the teaching, ways were mentioned in which the glory comes. A definite connection exists between intercession and the manifestation of God’s glory. In chapters 5, 6, and 7 of 2 Chronicles, Solomon dedicated the Temple that had been built for the Lord. After his prayer of dedication, fire fell from Heaven. God’s glory and presence were so thick; the priests could not enter the Temple to serve. Our Senior Pastor has been teaching about going beyond what is required or expected. In Romans chapter 8, Apostle Paul reminds that the Holy Spirit helps us accomplish this in prayer: “Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26 KJV). Concluding the service, the altar area was lined with His servants on their knees, offering prayers accompanied by groaning and tears. Even in the hallways outside the Sanctuary, people were leaning against the wall in travailing prayer. I just cannot express the awesome feeling of watching God’s people bow before Him with such holy reverence. Together in His Presence Dr Robert & Lisa Pace Pastors – Saturday Evening Service
